About Brew City Botanicals

Thank you for your interest in Brew City Botanicals.

When you purchase items from us, you are supporting locally made and environmentally responsible products. We use certified organic ingredients and obtain them from local resources whenever possible (we even grow some of our own ingredients!). We also recycle containers, shipping materials and office materials whenever possible.

At Brew City Botanicals (BCB), it is our goal to provide customers with high-quality, organic and environmentally safe products. Our products do not contain any artificial ingredients and we also use FDA food-approved packaging.

BCB is owned and operated by an herbalist with a B.Sc. in Biology and a Master’s Certificate in Herbal Medicine & Nutrition, including 20+ years of horticultural experience. Kristine recently received her Level One Aromatherapy Certification established by the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) and plans on becoming a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist. We strive to encourage your education in herbs and their healing abilities. It is important for all of us to know that what we put on our bodies has great impact on our health and well-being.’

At BCB, some ingredients we utilize in our creations are grown by us. However when we do have to purchase raw ingredients, we do so from companies that have strict quality control standards. These companies do regular inspections on their goods such as: moisture counts, bacteria/mold sampling and pesticide residue testing. In addition to the above, they also examine environmental impact reviews, fair market trade and human rights issues. We do not test our products or ingredients on animals or buy from companies that do.

BCB is certified Cruelty-Free by PETA and is compliant with the Leaping Bunny Program. Each product is handmade and packaged by BCB.

Synthetic Chemicals, Allergies & Sensitivities

Unfortunately, many people have sensitivities and/or allergic reactions to scented body care items. Often those reactions are due to synthetic chemicals added to body care products to yield scent, texture and other desired qualities. The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) does not regulate body care products and cosmetics, so any combination or amount of chemicals can be added to these items. Most people are sensitive and/or allergic to unregulated, synthetic chemicals. Brew City Botanicals (BCB) items are made with natural ingredients and many are certified organic. Typically, people who have sensitivities and/or allergic reactions do not have problems with BCB items. Nothing artificial, nothing synthetic – no kidding!
